What does Yumclip do?

Yumclip turns a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube recipe video, a recipe page or a photo into a real recipe: ingredients, amounts, steps and timers. Then the app helps you plan your week, shop with a list sorted by aisle, and cook, one step at a time.

Which links work?

You can also import a recipe from 1 to 4 photos: a cookbook page, a screenshot.

How do I import a recipe?

  1. In TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, open the video and tap Share.
  2. Pick Yumclip. On iPhone, the first time, it hides behind More: add it to your favourites so it stays in view.
  3. The recipe lands in your library.

You can also copy the link and paste it on Home, or tap the + at the bottom of Yumclip, then Add a recipe. In the same place, From a photo imports a recipe from a photo.

How does Yumclip read a video?

Yumclip reads what the video’s public page shows: the creator’s caption, what’s said in the video and a few frames. An AI from one of our providers turns that into the recipe: ingredients, amounts, steps, and the moment in the video where each step starts.

The video stays with its creator: the recipe credits them and links back to it. An amount the video doesn’t give is marked “estimated”. Spotted a mistake? Fix it with Edit recipe, or tell us with Report a mistake, on the recipe.

How many imports are free?

5 a month, videos, websites and photos included. Only successful imports count: a video with no recipe in it costs you nothing. Adding a recipe from the catalog counts as an import too. Your imports reset on the 1st of each month.

Typing in a recipe yourself has no limit, and the planner, the shopping list and cook mode stay free.

What does Yumclip Plus give me, and how much is it?

Plus gives you unlimited imports and the nutrition guide, an energy and protein guide for your meals. It costs €4.99 a month or €29.99 a year in France; elsewhere, the price is the one the App Store or Google Play shows. The annual plan starts with 7 free days, if the store says you’re eligible.

No ads, free or with Plus.

How do I cancel Yumclip Plus?

The subscription is paid through the App Store or Google Play, and you can stop it whenever you like, at least 24 hours before it renews:

Plus carries on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

How do I get my subscription back on another phone?

Sign in with the same Yumclip account: Plus follows it. With another account, or as a guest, open Yumclip Plus from My account and tap Restore, with the Apple or Google account that paid: Plus moves to that account.

What happens to my recipes if I stop Plus?

They all stay. Your account goes back to free, with 5 imports a month.

Which languages does Yumclip speak?

The app speaks French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Luxembourgish, and follows your phone’s language. A recipe you import arrives in that language, in metric units (grams, millilitres), translated if the video is in another language; catalog recipes come in all eight languages too.

Does Yumclip work offline?

Partly: your recipes, your planner and your shopping list stay on your phone and open without a connection. Importing a recipe needs one.

What do you do with my data?

No advertising, no data sold, no tracking from one app to another. Usage statistics and crash reports only run if you accept them; change your mind in My account › Privacy. Your recipes are yours: My account › My data › Export my recipes.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: My account › My data › Delete my account. Without the app, everything is on the Delete your account page (in French).

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Yumclip Plus: cancel it first.
